Why people don’t like the Black-Out Concept XP1?!

Would you buy a Black-Out Concept XP1 Tourbillon LT if you were into such designs? | WatchCrunch

I came across the Black-Out Concept XP1 Tourbillon LT and seems like a really nice watch for the price, but a lot of people have bad experience with the company or past models from the company. Would you buy this model if you were into Richard Mille like designs? Separately, if you have this model, how is your experience so far? People are voting against buying the Balck-Out Concept XP1 even if they like the design but they haven’t provided a justification. I’m interested to learn why you wouldn’t buy the watch if you are into RM lookalike designs?!

P.S. RM didn’t patent the design concept and many other watch brands have used similar watch designs in the past but somehow, RM is known for such design language.

I missed your first post apparently.

My guess would be some can appreciate the engineering behind the watch, can appreciate someone digging it, but might not really be into for themselves?

I think you are overreading into the implications of a poll where you created a dependent clause ("if you were into such designs?") that people might or might not have read.

Likely most people aren't interested in the design period and are voting no.

Exactly what @Edge168n said. I chose to not say anything on your original post, because it was flawed like that.

Would you buy a soviet-era car if you were into soviet-era cars?

That makes sense! 😅😅😅I needed to ask because I’m still not sure whether to pull the trigger on buying it or not.

Hmmm. It would depend if it was on offer or not.😜😜😜

I think there are some questions about whether or not the Chinese PTS 3481 Tourbillion is worth the money that Blackout is asking for it but ultimately if you like it, buy it. Simple as. No poll necessary even.

I agree. If a person likes something then they should buy it. And it’s also true that the Chinese Tourbillion is what I’m sceptical about. But the company is backed by watch makers who have modified the movement to bring it up to the standard (as told by them) and the servicing time/money for this is 5 years and $350 respectively, which ultimately is making me leaned towards this watch. But as usual, it’s always good to do some research before putting in £2K on a watch. £2K isn’t a small amount as well.
