Totally agree.

That looks sharp with that strap. That would be an idea for my Seiko with the Arabic dial. The only problem is the bracelet is integrated. I have never seen an Orient with that dial. That thing is awesome!

Thx dude.

I got this off eBay, $50-ish before tax btws. Seen a champagne, silver, and this black dial variant.

That's a decent price but the question is, is it a frankenwatch? Regardless it's an awesome looking watch.

Nope. Very limited releases, or more accurately released to very specific regions.

Almost the same as your integrated variant.

I'll post up caseback later. Has correct serial number according to Orient stuff I can find.

And thanks, agreed even if it was a franken watch still good looking.

It's also older and the one I got is definitely used.

Caseback looks as it should, so it could be a franken watch, but at this price point I am not worried.

Basically I wanted another Arabic font dial, that wasn't the Seiko 5 that is all the rage.

That's a nice piece. I was curious because I have never seen one before. I have heard the ebay stories too. I was wondering what to expect if I got one. Now I know. Thanks for the info. I didn't know that the Seiko 5 is all the rage. I came acrossed it and had never seen one before so I bought it. I got it in an auction lot for $56. It came with 7 other watches. They were all junk so I might as well say I paid $56 for it. I didn't pay attention to the integrated bracelet. I was too busy studying the dial.

What's really driving me crazy ๐Ÿคช is that it came with a smell. Not a bad smell, a cologne smell. I have had it for a couple of months now and I can't get the smell off of it. LOL

First off, that's a steal too! I bought my SeikoRX Arabic integrated off Joma for $100.

I actually think it wears better than the Tissot.

For the cologne, can't help there, if rubbing alcohol wiped over it doesn't help I have no clue.

I didn't think it was a bad deal. Seiko 5s sell fairly cheap. This dial usually sells for a little more than a normal one. Yes the cologne smell is driving me insane. Mainly because I can't tell what brand of cologne it is. It smells familiar. I have taken the bracelet off and soaked it in alcohol. I've used windex and a couple of other cleaners. The smell is still there. I can sit here wearing it and smell it on my arm. I guess all that is left to do is change the bracelet. Or wait! I can get some Poof. I will poof it. Hahaha

This is way cooler than the Seiko version. I wonder if there is a Citizen in Arabic floating out there.

My guess would be mos def. Japan releases a lot of stuff for specific areas, including the Middle East.

And don't forget Indonesia and the Philippines have a large Arabic speaking, multi-religious population.

I have never been to the Philippines or Indonesia, but I have been to Thailand. Seiko does a lot of special releases for just Thailand. I can tell you the color schemes were something else.

Yea. I can't remember if it was Singapore or Thailand or both, but Seiko did some CRAZY cool color stuff for some fishing clubs out there.

One of the most reasons I want to go back to Japan..look through Seiko stores, or stores seiko-holics recommend and just see what JDM or region exclusive stuff I could find.

Tokyo is unreal if you are a watch fan. I lived there when I got into watches, and I am having a hard time replicating the experience in the States. There are so many watch stores, and they cover all ranges. Everything from Luxury to old Seikos, Casios, Orients. There are also a lot of second hand thrift stores there and they can be a treasure trove for used watches. I picked up my Omega Seamaster SMP at the Japanese equivalent of Goodwill, and I picked up a new old stock Seiko SBBN035 at a used camera and watch store.
