Any Greeks in the House?

Man these Citizen Aqualands are poppin up everywhere ๐Ÿ˜‚!

Royalty, SBS, Seals, Greek Mustachio'd Operators, Assassins, Spies....

I feel like Citizen is missing an opportunity to capitalize.

Apparently these were all the rage back then, super rugged, reliable, and less conspicuous than a Rolex.

(Look at WOE's other posts with an Aqualand, the spy/assassin/who knows what she was, etc.)

But in all seriousness, never, Ever, EVER mess with a dude with a 'stache this awesome..(and maybe out of regs, but who is gonna tell him..I won't....๐Ÿ‘€)

Also that smirk on his face, if an enemy I'd be running the other direction as fast as freakin possible, if an ally I'd be let's goooooo, a commander uh-oh this is gonna be a report, and if a junior rank, hey quick get a video stuffs about to happen. IFYKYK.

Would you place #citizen over #seiko ?

And I am asking because I really did not meet a watch enthusiast that has a citizen high on their list so I wanna know.

And yeah his โ€˜stach maybe got him his job ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Totally depends. These guys (and gals for clandestine work) go with what they are issued or what they want.

During this time period which this was taken, according to WOE's Instagram, 90's-00's, and based off the number of various countries special team peeps rocking this model, I'd say the Aqualand was fairly popular.

Same thing with the Chronosport UDT. Haven't seen much, if any, official reports/pics of the Arnie, but I'd wager there were a few on wrists too. And obviously Hollywood loved it.

But if you go back to Vietnam, some of the craziest, hardiest, most OP OG dudes of the MACV-SOG/LRRP's wore the original "Raider Rolex". A simple, not very WR, polished, and very dressy by today's standards, Seiko 5. And this was a unit that literally had a 100% casualty rate.

Some of the missions that have become declassified recently read like the most bonkers Hollywood script you could imagine.

TL;DR, at the end of the day when running in the world's elite fighting forces, those dudes are gonna go with stuff that works, is functional, and looks cool, regardless of who makes it.
