My grail Timex

While searching about Timex Easy Reader on the web, I found this interesting watch in the Bush Center Online shop. Although the watch itself was only 60USD, the international shipping fee from US to Japan by UPS was very expensive and I purchased at 200USD in total.

Although under the sticker I can see that the movement was made in Philippines and strap was made in China, I like this “Made in USA” Timex very much!

I like the genuine leather strap, but maybe I should get 20mm nato strap with the gold buckle, since Japan is very humid in summer.

Is the movement American? I know Timex sells "American" made watches with Swiss movements for 450.

Unfortunately, the movement is not American. In the second picture, there is a sticker printed MADE IN USA, but under that sticker, I can see the letters that say Movt Philippines.

I own this watch and I plan to wear it every year on July 4th then back into the watch box for another year.  The Easy Reader are a very understated but classy watch.  I have a black Modern Easy Reader that I wear a lot and love it!

I am happy to find another Bush Easy Reader fan! I also think it is a great watch to wear on July 4th. I switched the leather strap to Nato strap so I could wear it more casually.
