Zenith Bracelet Nightmare!

Just received my brand new Zenith Chronometer Sport and I need to adjust the bracelet. It's practically IMPOSSIBLE! I've adjusted many many breaclets with many different mechanisms but this is by far the hardest to adjust.

2 screws on either side. I'm assuming I need to hold one in place and unscrew the other. I can't manage to get any purchase or movement on either screw.

I'll be shamefully bringing it down to my local watch store tomorrow to get them to do it for me. So embarrassing!

Le sigh...

Sorry you are having issues. This is on my short list of next watches to get. Can you post some pictures? Would be interested in any of your other thoughts so far.

Omega is really tough also! Screws in the darn thing so tight I gave up and tossed it back into the box.

Sorry man. I been there. Happen to me with a case back that I cross treated on one of my wife’s mod and I had to take it to come one who had a machine because I only had the hand tool version. It was that Rolex style case back and I almost broke my hand and strip the groves before I tapped out to Bring it to a watch maker embossed as all hell that A I’m a modder and B it was my wife’s watch that I was suppose to be putting the finishing touches on.

The bracelet is famously challenging to adjust, even watchmakers require an assist. I ordered an OEM strap and clasp for my blue dial Chronomaster sport but have not attempted to fit the bracelet myself. A friend bought a black dial model that came with a strap and clasp but he had the ad adjust the bracelet.

I had the same issues with a386 bracelet. It was impossible for me to change, and when I went to a watch shop. Even they struggled with it. 😞

UPDATE: The great folks at my local watch store (not a Zenith AD) sorted it perfectly. As always it's a case of the 'right tools for the job' etc. They had a special tool which holds the watch and strap vertically with the bottom screw held against a non-rotating screw head. Then they come in from the top and it's much more controlled torque and precision wise. They are a Cartier AD also and the Cartier Pasha is notorious for this issue too. Anyways... I'm happily wearing my new Dayto.... I mean my new Zenith!
