Windup Watch Fair SF

Hello Crunchers, Windup Watch fair is just around the corner!

This will be my first time going to the Windup watch fair. So I would love to hear any previous experiences? What to expect? Any recommendations?

Personally, I’m very excited to learn, look at watches and hopefully meet some crunchers. If you are going, comment below or comment what are you most excited about!

Thank you in advance 🙏

It's my first time too but I'm hoping to try on some watches to see how they fit in person: traska summiteer 36 vs 38mm, nodus sector sport, Baltic Hermetique and Aquascaphe, Lorier Neptune and Falcon... Basically all the microbrands that I'm considering shopping online in the next year :)

I went the last year before the pandemic and really enjoyed it. I'm a fan of micros, so is was crazy to me to just roll up to a table and shake she l hands with the very people responsible for creating the watches I'd been admiring. It was pretty crowded, so I didn't even get to hit all the tables I wanted.

If I had come prepared to spend money, I could have taken advantage of a couple of unique opportunities to buy things (either a lower than normal price, or models that weren't widely available). But that bit is up to serendipity, no guarantees.

I've been in Chicago the last 2 years, it's completely worth going. 1) try on watches from brands you wont see in a store 2) meet the brand owners 3) be immersed in people who love this stuff

Pro tip: put your watch on your right wrist, keep that lefty free to try everything on.
