What is this Norqain?

I read the website and something something Breitling etc but does anyone actually wear these? What are your honest thoughts?

Please explain 🧐

Norqain is two brands.

One is sort of your mid to higher tier Sellitta SW200/300 movement based Swiss watch manufacturer. Think Monta, Formex, etc.

The second is their manufacture calibre collection, which includes all their GMTs as well as well as some three handers. Kenissi (a Tudor/Breitling/Chanel JV) developed two movements (the NN20/1 and the NN20/2) for them to produce in house. I believe the GMT movement is basically the Tudor flyer GMT movement (found in the BB GMT and BB Pro) with fewer of the date wheel quality control issues you found with the Tudor calibre.

FWIW, the quality is excellent and the creature comforts are very good (excellent clasps and finishing) but you may or may not find the aesthetics to your liking.

Thanks for info! Are you an AD by chance 🤔

Not at all, just another psychotic collector who last saw Norqain at the Windup Watch Fair in San Francisco. They do have a decent AD network so ideally you can see for yourself.

What edge said. They are also doing very interesting things with case materials. To me they are a little aggressive on pricing, but the secondary market is very friendly to those that wait.

A real Norqainer right here

I purchased a Norqain Adventure Sport Chrono in 2020 because I really liked the design and I was able to get a deep enough discount from the AD to make it worthwhile. Everyone who I've shown it to seems to be fairly impressed with the build quality, but their list prices are a bit on the high side for what you get. Overall, I'm happy to have it in my collection.

Love norqain watches that have the kenissi movements. The ETA and Sellita ones aren't bad too, only thing is the price and brand recognition can be harder to swallow. The price is good value if you consider the quality of finishing and unique aspect of it, but in straight specs you can find some better value. Recognition is difficult and hard to sell used and retain value.

If you're buying to keep, I'd recommend them!

Bought their In-house GMT on ebay without ever seeing one in person. While I got a great deal, I would have no hesitation buying retail in the future. While their around ~4k for their GMT, IMHO the watches can stand toe to toe with watches in the ~6-8k range. This might be a hot take but their finish is def better than Tudor (have had one). I have a JLC GMT and a Rolex Explorer I and build wise holds their own. Definitely not all sunshine and rainbows. It's a thic boi and a little top heavy.

I have a Neverest Glacier dial. Great watch
