For better or worse (mostly worse 🤣), I've been an Angels fan my whole life. Shohei Ohtani is clearly among the greatest baseball players ever, and I have been honored to watch him play in person.
Similarly, I have admired the entire Seiko 62MAS-inspired product line but could never justify the asking price... until the SBDC191 Shohei Ohtani LE.
There's nothing surprising about this watch. It's a beautiful version of a known quantity. But damn, what a special version.
Thanks for helping me fall in love with baseball again, Ohtani-san. Although I expect this to be your last season with my home team, I'll be a fan of yours forever, and I'll have the watch to prove it.

Honestly, that would be the best outcome. He deserves to be on a great team, and I'd love for him to stay local.
Unfortunately, instead of a 15-minute drive to Angel Stadium, I'll have to trek 90 minutes across the basin to get to Dodger Stadium. 😭

Yeah, other than some small text "Shohei Ohtani Limited Edition" and the xxxx/1700 number, it's a standard case back.
I really like the "17" engraved crown, though.
How can you have Mike Trout and Shohei and still be that bad?! Angels are awful and deserve the curse after beating the Giants in the World Series with the stupid Rally Monkey. Yeah, I’m still bitter 🤣
