Best way to set a Moonphase complication

Hey WC!

What’s the best / easiest way to set and synchronize a moonphase complication?

I’m currently using Hodinkee’s app to check the moon’s status, but I’m not sure if there are better ways to do it.

Happy weekend!

I would probably wait for a full moon and set it accordingly.

For a company that deals with the topic of the dialy, I don’t get why they are using GMT but also have UTC (the actual standard) at the bottom of the page.

Beautiful watch btw. And I love that omega made it 🤤

P.S.

Wait! So, i just looked at my calendar (which has phases of the moon it in quarters) and saw that the last full moon was on the 8th. You could reset the date (and time ofc) on your watch and adjust the moonphase to be at a full moon. Then, you could just brute force your way to the current date and time, pre-quickset style. I suggest sitting down and putting on something to distract you from the tediousness.

I find looking out of the window at night helps.

Haha. That’s an option for sure, thanks!

Isn't there any instruction in the watch manual on how to set it correctly ?

Very “low tech” instructions e.g find when the last full moon was and count the days passed. Must be better ways to do it :)
