Why is Polaris bracelet so comfortable?

I didn’t realize how comfortable Polaris bracelet is until I bought Explorer II a couple of weeks ago.

Not that oyster bracelet isn’t comfortable. But Polaris feels next level.

I can’t decide what makes it so comfortable but what I noticed are;

  • Flat surface inside

  • Brushed surface inside which is a little coarse compared to other brushed parts of the watch

Is it possible that JLC makes it a little coarse with intention to make it feel smoother on the skin???

I don’t know why it’s so comfortable.

I just know it’s a beaut.

Two epic watches.

I’ve owned both.

I kept the explorer miss the JLC

I think this is part of the subtlety of finishing that gets lost the overall discussion of more expensive watches. Some brands put more effort into the unseen and not photographable details that make a watch comfortable.

A few brands do this at a lower price, like Longines and Ball but it’s hard to describe and perhaps even hard to notice why it feels so comfortable. It just does.
