Santos de Cartier “Coffee” is “One Shot”

If you have your eyes set on Santos de Cartier with “coffee” dial (or “chocolate” or whatever you want to call it) which came out recently, you might want to move quickly.

Having wanted a Santos de Cartier for years, I saw the coffee and decided this is the one I want.

A week ago, I first saw it at a boutique in Tokyo and I was sure I wanted it. So I got an approval from my wife and went back to the boutique yesterday.

It was gone🥲

I asked the lady when she expects the next lot, she says “It’s one shot”, not regular production and we don’t know how many and for how long they will produce nor if and when we will receive next lot to Japan.”

I didn’t know that this is a “one shot” so I googled it. Cartier website doesn’t say it is limited in any way. But it is Cartier so you never know anything from their website😅

Not many reviews yet and a few I found did say it is not limited.

The only place that did say it is “one shot” was an AD in London (link at the bottom.)

This can be really “one” shot or several shots but I didn’t want to take the risk so I decided to visit more boutiques and ADs.

2nd boutique had run out of stock and they confirmed that it’s “one shot” and had no idea if/when next comes. They said they only received one medium and one large so far…..

3rd, an AD not a boutique, same “one shot” story. They received only one which sold immediately.

I was getting more worried and desperate.

Luckily I was in Ginza, probably one of the streets in the world with the highest density of Cartier boutiques and ADs.

Yesterday was May the 4th.

“May the fourth be with me!”

Yes, the fourth, a boutique, had the only one they received 🤩🥳🥰

The lady at the boutique looked a bit surprised as I said “I’ll have this, please 🙏 “ in less than 10 seconds after entering the boutique 😁

Of course, I went straight to a cafe to enjoy a shot of espresso, now relaxed ☕️☺️

Got home, showed my wife the watch, she looks at the bracelet and says “Is it the rubber band thing?” 🤣 🤣🤣
