Seikomod Pilot & Midfield watches I made

Hiya,

As my post history suggests, I've built a few Seikomod watches lately. Also built lately, these Pilot and Field watches share some similarities, so I'm telling you of 'em here in the same post.

I find these watch styles to be quite traditional and had to scratch my head about how to spruce them up a bit. I wouldn't want to overly switch the designs around, since they have functional aspects to them, especially the Pilot's watch design.

The Pilot's basically a IWC Mk. XVIII homage (though that design has been around for a century already in more than one form), but the twist here is that I found a way to get it done with a suitable case and fitting bracelet. Pilot watches don't often come with bracelets, so I'm happy to have it this way. Also the C3 lume on the dial is absolutely nuts, it's very visible in the same room if you just slightly move away from a window into a shadow. I need to source a handset that has stronger lume since the dial just kills them. I put in another little twist with the seconds hand tip being red, although it could be a brighter red. The seconds hand is a bit hard to make out from the dark background. Version 2 of this watch already has a changelist then.

The Field watch carries a similar story, I found it hard to find with a bracelet. Until I ran into the SRPJ81K1, which is exactly that. I already had the parts incoming, so welp, here it is anyways. My take on it was to build it with skeleton hands, which do fit the dial very nicely. The lume on the hands is also pretty nice, so I'm happy to have that as well. The machined bracelet with solid end links and integrated deployant clasp really does add value compared to most bracelets out there at the price I'm offering it, so I think the watch is pretty great in comparison right now.

Anyways, I sell these watches too. They're priced quite aggressively and come with nice accessories. The Etsy sales listings are in verification limbo right now so I can't give direct links to them, but they'll be up sooner or later on the store page (hopefully) https://www.etsy.com/fi-en/shop/PanoptikonWatches

That's it for now. These are the last two watches of this bunch, check out my other posts if you wanna see some more creative designs. Thanks for reading, and tell me what you think 🍻
