Panoptikon Seikomod "Morvarc'h"

Hiya,

I've been busy putting together a couple of new watches. Here's the first one of this batch. A premium Seikomod, which basically means that I've used more expensive high-end parts in this build.

I've given it the moniker Morvarc'h (Breton for "sea horse"). Morvarc'h is the name of a horse of Breton legend found in two folktales reworked in the 19th and 20th centuries. Endowed with the ability to gallop on the waves, Morvarc'h is described as having a black coat and as breathing flames through its nostrils. In the version of Guyot's The Legend of the City of Ys published in 1926 by H. Piazza, this horse is "a supernatural mount worthy of a god". I've personally also come to call it "The Admiral" thanks to its nice color scheme.

This is also my favorite watch of the latest bunch. The BB58 style matte bezel and plano-concave crystal with blue antireflective coating make this piece look absolutely stunning in person; pictures cannot do it justice. The BGW9 superlume on the dial and hands certainly help with the impression. I've handled quite a few watches in my time and I've impressed myself in that a watch with such specifications can be had at this price point.

You can also have one if you're so inclined. I'm selling these watches at Etsy, where you can also check out the full specs list and included accessories. Link: https://www.etsy.com/fi-en/listing/1549373724/panoptikon-morvarch-premium-seikomod

There's also a Watchcrunch specific discount code floating around here. Check out my post history if ya want it.

So yeah. That's the story of this piece. Tell me whatchu think 🍻

Nice piece - if I did not already have that BB58 I would jump on this.
