I played around with some straps :)

Over time, I have accumulated some watches with an 18 mm lug width. I have two watch straps that I primarily use on my 18 mm wide watches. These are the nato from my Timex and the leather strap from my old Huawei Watch that I have not used in forever.

Up until now, I have used the nato on the Timex and the leather strap on the Camel Trophy. However, I figured I could try something different.

First of all, I put the leather strap on my AE-1200.

I think this looks good and it doesn't suffer from the whole being too long issue that the stock resin strap has.

Second, I put the leather strap on my Timex.

I think this also looks okay, but I do prefer the nato. Also, the strap widens at a point where it can touch the lugs, so moving the strap upwards feels rough.

Lastly, I tried the nato on the Camel Trophy.

I am a bit conflicted about this. On one hand, the nato is far more suitable for the adventure vibe that the watch is going for than the leather strap is. However, it also pushes the watch towards the outward side of the arm, which is not great.

What do you think?
