Any risk in buying a Seiko off of amazon?

Hey Watchcrunch gang! Looking at this Seiko which typically retails for $575 but is on sale at amazon for $420. Any reason to avoid this deal? If this was a much larger watch purchase like omega rolex i'd go boutique or AD route but for this I feel it is fine. What are your opinions?

It’s completely safe purchasing watches from Amazon(grey market), but make sure to read reviews on the seller. Double check that they accept returns just in case.

I‘ve never had a problem buying from Amazon, including a few Seikos. Prices often fluctuate on Amazon and some good deals can be found. Like mentioned above, just be sure of the return policy.

Always a good choice, usually get free shipping and most have free returns. Great way to check watches or just about anything. I been doing it for years👍

Nothing wrong with Amazon, but beware of the seller you buy it from. Often if Amazon is the seller then you will have a better return and refund policy. Read the reviews for the seller and choose.

If you go to a Seiko AD, you can still find this model for a similar price for around 25% discount surely since open-heart models tend to be not so popular and usually have good discounts. Plus you can try the watch on and also get a proper warranty from Seiko. If you buy off Amazon, the warranty is a hit and miss, maybe covered by third party and not directly by Seiko.
