My daddy's old watch

I was finally able to get my daddy's old watch fixed.

Long story short, during my last visit home, my dad gave me his two old watches—this Wittnauer and a Seiko Kinetic. Neither watch has worked for years. I intended to get them fixed and wear them. I was fortunate enough to come up with some extra cash, so I got the Wittnauer fixed.

Gold-tone watches are not my thing, to be honest, but I've worn this watch quite a lot since getting it fixed a few weeks ago. The bracelet isn't great, but not bad. I also enjoy the smaller case size compared to my Seiko 5 Fifty Five Fathoms.

No lie, my sentimental attachment to this watch is strong, being that it once belonged to my old man. It's the closest thing I have to a family heirloom. On a personal note, I became a father about two years ago. I hope to be as good of a father as my dad was, and now I have a little reminder of that on my wrist. ❤
