Loving my Seiko 5 but boy.. the bracelet.

I absolutely love my Seiko 5 Sports. I have bought it after watching several youtube videos stating how great of a watch it is in terms of value-for-money.

I completely agree with the statements from those videos: it is indeed a great automatic watch for the price and it is versatile in its usatge (I've used the watch both to hang-out with friends, or at work or on a date and it was always a good fit).

The only drawback I'm seeing is the bracelet which, compared to higher end watches, feels a bit clunky at times.

I am a big fan of metal bracelets, but in the case of the Seiko 5 Sports I believe the watch might benefit from a raw lether or striped nato strap.

What do you think? Woukd this watch benefit from a change in strap? If so, which type would you guys recommend?

You can never go wrong with a NATO strap, they're cheap and great looking. For some classier events a leather strap would certainly benefit the looks.

The Seiko bracelet was the first thing to go when I got my 5KX. Uncle Straps, Strapcode, many better options out there.

Sorry to bombard you with pics, but I haven’t found a strap that didn’t work with the SRPE53! This is is a beast on leather, NATOs, perlon, etc. but I also have a Long Island Watch bracelet and a beads of rice from Amazon and both are 🔥
