That's awesome! There's a pretty steady supply of these sort of 70s long service watches at the moment. I imagine because the wives of the original owners are now passing on.
I have a soft spot for the history of them and finding out who the original owner worked for. Most of the companies have gone bust but South Staffs Water soldiers on to this day.

They tend to be well looked after or hardly worn as well.
