The Watches of Deadliest Catch 🔱
The first two pictures are Capt. Sean Dwyer holding the SKX009 his father gave him before passing away. He wears it for good luck and to remember his father he said and it’s quite sweet to see him tell the story of his pop giving him the watch.
The last two pictures are Capt. Sig Hansen wearing a two tone submariner and I have seen him wearing a couple other notable watches as well. He wears a Yachtmaster II and another watch that looks like a blue dial Seiko Ana-digi with a gold bracelet. The bracelet is made out of bearing sea gold and it’s a tradition with sea captains working out of the bearing sea.
These guys along with some of the other captains are probably among the most famous people in the world who are wearing these watches appropriately and putting them to the test they are designed for. Maybe not diving per say but definitely exposing them to the harshest conditions anywhere.
So! Hodinkee or Jody or whew, this might even be right up tgv’s alley (hate to say it :) but how about an article or a YouTube interview or a book talking to these men about their watch stories!?!
Who in the world might have a better watch story besides CIA operatives. If anyone knows any of the people on the show or connected to it that would like to talk and maybe get a story out there please let me know. I’m not a writer but I know a good editor and I am creative when I am passionate about a subject.

I happened to stumble on this image of Sig wearing what it looks like a G-Shock. Possible either the DW6900 or its solar atomic variant, the GW6900. No idea what season and episode or year is this from but still neat regardless.
EDIT: Okay, his watch here actually looks like a Timex Ironman, possibly either T5K608 or TW5K94000.
