Found this in the garbage! Your opinion?
Hey folks! Just found this in the garbage and saved it. I would love your input/suggestions/opinions/knowledge as I am a newbie in the field ☺️ Feel free to comment!
I love the bracelet (that I googled myself to see it might be a NSA Swiss one?) and to the model being a Citizen Electronic Cosmotron 7803 (says also on the back).
The crown works quite ok. The button doesnt seem to reset the seconds but maybe because it needs to be functional first?
Worth it taking it to a watchmaker to get checked and maybe running?
Give it a new crystal or polish the one it has?

Wow! What an amazing thing to find in the trash! I’m not sure that button is for resetting the seconds hand though. I believe that watch doesn’t have a chronograph function. I believe it’s for setting either the day or the date. It’s certainly a really interesting piece. It would be great if you can get it running again. I suspect it won’t be an expensive restoration. Indeed! Happy I took it home. I found a video on YT that shows how to set the date (by pushing the crown) and that button should be to set the seconds to 12 o Clock.. but Im certainly not sure.
Probably Ill take it to someone to get an idea of how much it would be to restore 😊 thanks for your input!
Unless one has to travel an inordinate distance, estimates are usually free. It's an uninformed decision without that. Worst case is that they refuse and you get a second opinion elsewhere. I think people should seize any opportunity to assess the aptitude, interest, and temperament as well as the rates of a local watchmaker, which doesn't necessarily cost a thing. The more you know!

Hej Nevan. Bo Mølbak på Østerfarimagsgade er min go-to. Han (Bo) er super cool og meget fair med priser m.v. Det koster ikke noget at han kigger. Han vender tilbage med en pris, og så kan man altid sige ja/nej.
