I have a modest collection of twelve watches, and most of them I really like wearing. So life is good ๐ 5 weeks ago I bought this Laco Blaue Stunde 42mm, more or less on a whim. I thought I needed a Flieger, and the design, colour and heritage spoke to me. But I didn't think I would wear it regularly. It's quite chunky, and has a really large dial ("it's all dial", one YouTuber said). It's in your face.
But to my pleasant surprise I find myself picking it up all the time. Sun is out? Let the dial shine. Feeling blue? It's a mood ring. I look at it just for fun when driving. That sea of blue...
Do you have a watch that surprised you like that in a good way?

I bought a SM 6200 just because I like the look. I never really thought I would wear it but I do. It's fun and makes me feel like James Bond ๐
I feel the same way about my Christopher Ward C65 Dune. I have several field and dress watches and didn't think a fusion would work, but I now reach for the Dune more often than any other because it is just the perfect GADA watch for me. Whether in a suit or shorts, it just clicks.
Quartz watches, much cheaper and you just pick it up and go ,picked up 2 recently
Dont shoot me, but the mission to uranus moonswatch is actually pretty to look at. I dont wear it of course.
And with a name like uranus, it's a great to start lighthearted conversations with
Yes! This Octo Missilemaster was a complete surprise to me. I loved it from the 1st second I put it on. Circa 1968 and it holds its own in my collection.
I've been thinking about getting a Laco for a while now (Augsburg 39mm, black dial), not sure why but I'm drawn to these !
You know, I find myself reaching for my new Timex Expedition North Post Solar quite frequently, and it has rapidly become one of a few GADA options in my collection. It looks nice, fits great, and is tough enough for daily wear. Really surprisingly good experience with Timex. I have been impressed with their newer releases for some time, but this one exceeded my expectations.
