Hydro Mod watches

While doing some casual scrolling on YouTube, I came across this channel, The Dropzone Channel. The video:

https://youtu.be/iOT8XU1ss3E?si=VyUMm1Xv4dlwm4kP

He pressure tests many different things in his home made hydrostatic pressure rig. He has done two different Casio watches and although he isn't a watch channel, I found it really interesting the actual safety factor that manufactures actually put into the watch. I didn't know about Hydro modding before but seems interesting.

Does anyone have any Hydro modded watches or interested in doing it?

Ya randomly came across this recently, it’s crazy how much pressure that hydro-mod withstood 🤯

I can barely tread water (my excuse is low body fat and a heavy skeleton 😅). So not my cup of tea but neat!

I've done it to three of my Casios. It worked best with the Duro, but it also helped with the backlight on the Royale and AW-80. Since those are 10 year batteries, you don't have to worry about having to redo the mod all the time for battery changes.

Those watches look like they took on the Hydro mod great! I especially love the Duro. Something about taking such an already great watch and bumping the depth specs makes it another level! 🤯

Here's what the backlight looks like now.
