1920's Waltham 14k, 19 jewel, Riverside Maximus. Today I have my gorgeous solid 14 karat Waltham military watch. The original enamel dial is in great condition and complements the blued steel hands beautifully. This watch is equipped with an incredibly rare 19 jewel Riverside Maximus movement from 1904. In addition to the fantastic visual and mechanical bits, this watch happened to be owned by Caleb Anthony Hayward Jr. Who served in WW1 in 1918.

Wow. What a beautiful watch. I'm waiting on my Waltham Tank to come back home and this has triggered me to send a strongly worded email that will probably be ignored

That is beautiful! And so amazing how such a little machine is still looking and working so well after all these years! Enjoy!

Beauty, heritage, story and the fact that it still works after 100+ years! A name for a timepeice this old has to be coined. Vintage just doesn't hit the mark. Have a great evening Chris.

I agree! Some real quality craftsmanship back then. It still amazes me when I see the size of a screw or the tolerance on a balance assembly from over 100 years ago.
