My best buddy has been of the opinion: "What's the point of a old school wristwatch?", "I got a Garmin, it's better", "My phone tells the time", "How much did you pay!?!", "Waste of money....".
Recently he had a birthday and in a position where he don't really need anything. That's when he figured out that a proper watch would be a nice gift (he got the watch from his GF and family). After several days of research into budget watches the Kamasu seemed like the best deal, and it probably is.
I got him a handful of natos, including a leather nato. So now he has a pretty solid one watch collection 😊 However, during the research phase he stated that "I understood why people wanted a couple of different watches for different occasions and/functions" 😅 I think he is eyeing a Seiko Alpinist Laurel now. What have I done....
