Metra Gold Harriman Award 1990 & 2002
My father and grandfather were both conductors on the Metra Rock Island line for 40+ years. They received these watches for being part of the best railroad in the country for those respective years.
Pretty cool to have these to hold onto and take care of to pass down to my kids someday. Will be a nice way to remember them and tell our family’s story.
How can you not be romantic about watches?

Chicago <—> Joliet. Nice I was just discussing with other today how companies don’t commemorate long service with watches anymore. Nice to see areas where they do. Running a rail line seems appropriate 💪🏻
