Vintage Pitfall Roamer Anfibio

I love old watches, especially Swiss vintage watches. I recently bought a little guy on EBay; Roamer Anfibio 17 Jewel. I knew very little about the brand, but the R on the logo and the joke of a price made me pull the trigger. Does anyone have experience with this brand or this particular model? I know Roamer made their own cases and movements, but I have no idea what movement this watch has. I was hoping to work on it as part of my watchmaking journey, but I might have picked the wrong candidate. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I have two vintage Roamers - one has the same blue indicies and hands as yours. Roamer made quality watches, it's not as famous as the big Swiss brands but their modells are reliable and look nice. I really love the vintare Rs.

Watched Chronoglide on YouTube about a Roamer.

I wouldn't have known. The movement is released by pushing the acrylic crystal down! The movement and caseback come out as one. The crown was released using tweezers to gently lever it away from the movement. Then the crown stem which is hidden inside the protruding boss, was pushed deeper to release the movement.

However, I don't know if all Roamer are the same, or just vintage ones.

Just looked at my other Roamer, the bezel around the crystal pops off, so it's totally different to the brevete case on my other one that I described.

Photo is of the Brevete caseback.

The notch under the bezel can be seen

As can scratches where previous owners tried to pop the back off.

I "think" that the movement drops out of the front once the crystal is removed.

Emphasis on think, as I didn't try it.

Beautiful I had a Roamer Hybrid - must empty my boxes! - My first vintage watch I found in my mum's attic "Lucerne Sports Swiss Made", not been touched in more than 40 years! Gave it a wind and a shake amazingly started straight off (Swiss quality)...(only needed buffing up). Was mine when I was a kid!
