Soviet Electronika 1 LED watch

Yes, the Soviet Union produced an LED watch like the famed Hamilton Pulsar. In fact this holds the distinction of being the longest produced LED watch, as they were made from 1974-1991 in Moscow. Even though they were produced for a long time, not many have survived today in working condition.

The watch has a chrome plated brass case with a stainless steel caseback. Top button shows the time in a 24 hour format. If you hold it down it will show seconds. Bottom button shows the date and day of the week in number format (1-7).

The bracelet feels pretty nice, although to remove links you need to literally pry them apart with pliers and a screwdriver. I stabbed myself multiple times in the process.

The module is very interesting in that it uses two batteries, likely due to the energy needed to power the LEDs. The numbers printed inside indicate that it was made in April of 1982.
