W&W is definitely going to bring some new options. That Zenith is awesome and so are the others you showed here. An independent/micro brand to not sleep on: Monta. It’s not just hype, their watches really are incredible and the price point is awesome.

I love Forstner bracelets. They are great quality for the price and can really change the feel. I have their oyster style on my AT and it being completely brushed finish is awesome so it can take the scratches and not show.

And on my speedy I have their 1450

Everyone’s different. I try not to be concerned about it, but it’s hard. On my Monta I was glad when I got my first scratch. JLC? Bummed out. Longines? Bummed but made my peace with it.

One thing I did for my Omega AT and Speedmaster is get Forstner bracelets (oyster style and their 1450 style). They’re fully brushed and in my experience bracelets take most of the typical scratches. These are great for taking the brunt of things and they look awesome. Gives me peace of mind.

You do you. Everyone has their own level of comfort with things.

In order of preference now that I’ve had enough variation to have an opinion:

  1. Oyster

  2. Presidential

  3. Bullet

Still, what bracelet comes with a watch usually will not be a deal maker or breaker for me. I trust that the designers have their reasoning for pairing a particular style with a watch design. I may get other bracelets (and straps) to swap in and out, but the original bracelet always has its place.

For me it’s not being able to give all the watches equal wrist time.
