Pagani Design PD-1701 good alternative for a Moonswatch?
Hey everyone, I have been looking for a moonswatch for a bit now but I came across this watch. this one does seem like a better deal and better quality then the omega x swatch watches. Some of the specs: Movement: VK63 & Sapphire glass. Anyway what do you guys think about this watch?

To me they are 2 completely different things. If you want something like a Speedmaster for a fraction of the price this is a great option I think. The Moonswatch is more a colourful, fun watch, not necessarily an alternative for the Speedmaster. If you like this one better I'd say go for it, the Alaska project vibes do make this a unique homage in my eyes.

Check my WC profile ... a couple of months ago I did a little write up here on WC comparing my "Speedy-esque" PD1701v3 to my "Speedy-ish" Seiko SSB031.
Unless you "absolutely" just have to have the Omega logo on the dial, then a PD1701 (you choose the version) is a arguably a better (and more cost effective) alternative to the MoonSwatch 😀

I think I just like that this isn't a direct 100% copy but more of a mix of different watches, makes it a better Pagani design homage watch than most of the watches that they sell in my opinion. + for the like $80 price on sale right now its a bargain I think.
Got one a few weeks ago for 70 dollars. Absolutely cannot beat the value. It's a solid Seiko movement, I say go for it.
It's less an alternative to a MoonSwatch, and more an affordable Speedy homage. If you want an everyday watch, go with the Pagani.
The MoonSwatch was never made to be an alternative to a Speedy, it was supposed to be a fun watch for occasional use, just like all the other Swatches. The hint is in the name S(econd)WATCH
Probably catch flack from this comment but I have bought six of them for less than $100. Dhgate China and as far as I'm concerned it's a better watch. You can Wash it and open it up to be serviced where as the Swatch $150 automatic is forever sealed and can't be adjusted, a throw away watch. Now Swatch tells Omega to put their name on a Toy Swatchwatch with the famous speedmaster moonwatch Omega icon emblem then sell it for $260 so you can throw it away. money wasting -$$$$$-
