The FedEx Cup Champion and Audemars Piguet

Years ago, before I got deep into this fun little hobby of ours, I wondered what that giant “AP” on PGA tour players’ clothes was. What was that? What were they selling? Turns out, a grail watch for many.

With all the sponsorship (Rolex) talk on here this weekend, it was kind of fun to watch Viktor Hovland play a magnificent round of golf to win the FedEx Championship and sport his AP perpetual calendar white ceramic.

Now yes, it’s a $300k watch… but he did just win $18 million today. Maybe we should all become pro golfers?

Hovland been in his bag 2 week straight. No wonder Rory been talking that talk about Ryder Cup.

Having worked a few PGA events, I am always blown away by how absolutely consistently, solid, pro's ball striking is.

Seeing putters and older fairway metals with actual dents/divits or quarter sized wear patterns in the center of the clubface from 100's of thousands of repeated hits is mind blowing. 🤯

We as golfers can only dream of such consistency!

For sure… 61 last week and 63 this week? Talk about peaking at the right time?!?!

Sports science will never be able to explain being “in the zone”, “locked in”, or “being on fire”.

It’s like what Neo felt like in the Matrix

Not that is one big trophy 🏆!! Holy smokes $18 million in one game! Plus AP probably gave him that watch to weare for this specific picture in the event of taking the win. I tell you what I may not be able to beat him in golf but if it was me in that picture I damn sure would have his smile beat!
