Hi. My name is Chen. I live in Beijing where I was born and raised. I developed a fondness for watches while working in the US and I’m trying my best to transfer that into an acceptable collecting hobby instead of unhealthy spending habit.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Tudor sounded like 土豆 potato a stupid sound my wife and I make all the time. I've always nagged her to buy me a potato watch without realizing how expensive it is. In the end I bought the vintage Tudor myself as a gift to her.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Try before you settle.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Still Tudor, but also Grand Seiko as well as some regular and vintage Seiko.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
A Rolex Submariner and a GS dress watch in rich, summer green. They are built beautifully and built to last. Now that i got them, the collecting journey is no longer and upward battle but instead a fun explorative experience.
