Vaer Watches, worth buying?

Thinking about buying the model above, anyone have experience with Vaer watches?

I have a Vaer C5 Classic Navy with the Ameriquartz movement, and I have been very happy with it, and have one of their solar divers on my list of future purchases. I would recommend Vaer based on my own experience.

I'm considering that model but in blue. Have seen good things (in addition to the comment above) about Vaer elsewhere. Also apparently the Miyota movement that it uses is also meant to be good.

My issue is the price. That's not a $630 watch. $350-$450, ok.

I have the tradition c3 with a quartz movement. Very nice for the 150 USD price, great finish on the case and sapphire crystal.

I own a Vaer D5 Pacific Tan Dive Watch w/ the Miyota 9035 No Date movement and the quality, fit and function of my watch is first rate.

I have a D4 solar diver and in no small part because they assemble them up the road in Fountain Hills, AZ. I like it as a pickup-and-go watch that never needs winding. Novelty of having it locally assembled aside, it's nicely finished but the second hand isn't aligned. There's also a persistent shortage of straps and bracelets from Vaer's online store, an area I might add, that's been an Achilles Heel of sorts for this brand. The standard bracelets aren't very good and what they refer to as "premium" is really more middle-of-the-road. I will say I wish more brands would put out quick release SS bracelets like they are.

I might pick up their new G5 GMT one of these days.
