Beautiful! Would you compare this, (finishing, movement,etc) to an IWC big pilot? I know the look is very different but are they comparable?
Yes, I would. In fact, I cross shopped this one with the bronze/green big pilot. In the end, the better lume and cooler dial font on the Zenith won me over. Movement finishing/quality are just about meaningless on a closed-back watch, so that didn't really enter the equation for me. As far as dial finishing goes, for sure the big applied lume block numerals are way better than the printed/painted IWC.

I got a great grey market deal. It came without the camo/textile strap, which is just as well… when I complained they gave me a partial refund, and anyway the stock strap is a bit short for me. The refund covers most of the cost of ordering both straps but in XL size directly from Zenith. Yay me!
As far as justification goes, this had been my “next watch” for a while. When I noticed they had all disappeared from the Zenith site after the new releases came out, I knew it was time.
Maybe the aftermarket prices will go down further now that it’s not the “latest model”? Good luck!
