Dial colour - Black vs Blue?

I know the answer to this age-old question depends entirely on personal preference, but I was hoping to get your views and some different perspectives on the blue vs black debate. I'm getting a Citizen AI500x and I'm not too sure about the dial colour. I was set on the blue initially, but then the black one made a lot of sense considering that it goes well with different strap options and it's more "neutral" as a colour. But now that I'm about to pull the trigger, I feel the blue pops a lot more. They're both matte dials. How did you tackle the question and what are your thoughts on it? For context, the only other watch I have is a white-dial Tissot LeLocle on a bracelet.

Chosed the black dial as it can do with anything IMO. It looks more slick. Hope it helps.

On a tool watch black is my pick.  Save the blue for something like a dress watch.

I'm a fan of both, and I love my blue dials, but I think on this particular watch I would go with the black.
