Anyone DIY and cut a tropic to fit bracelet endlinks?

Hello fellow crunchers

Has anyone diy’d and cut a rubber strap to fit bracelet endlinks? I don’t really like the gap that rubber straps leave so I was thinking of cutting a tropic strap to fit the oyster endlinks. Share pics if you’ve done something similar!

I just bought the actual mod with rubber strap.

Same as @JJMM1983 I got mine from Clockwork Republic. Highly recommend

Let us know how it goes! I'm interested in trying as well!

Not to fitted end links but cut down 22s to fit to 20s, sharp knife and buy a couple of cheapies in case you mess up. I can recommend like DAF_punk clockwork Republic, not the cheapest but awesome.

Thanks for the suggestion but I forgot to mention it’s for the black bay 58. The clockwork republic seiko 5 was for reference

Tried to cut 20mm to 18mm and it was a mess. No matter how hard and careful you will be it will be visible and you will see it all the time. Buy the mod as mentioned above or don't try at all, waste of money

I would be less worried about ruining the strap and more concerned that you're weakening the point that the spring bar interacts with. If there is a tear, you could end up with a smashed / lost watch.
