Any idea why Cartier Drive was discontinued?

Any idea why Cartier discontinued this range? I think it's one of the most beautiful designs Cartier has released in years. Did it just not sell well at all? Especially like the symmetry of the moon-phase.

I'm waiting for them to either reintroduce the Pasha Seatimer or the Calibre Diver again 😂.

I think the Drive was Cartier's version of trying to capture that flieger/motorsport inspired market, with the larger size everything. Shame that it didn't take off like the Santos did (then again, neither has the Pasha).

I have a sneaking suspicion that Cartier's able to experiment and cut watch lines out of production because it's second fiddle to their jewellery sales. I think people usually maker bigger deal when watch companies decide to cut certain designs out.

I was under the same impression as @roberto , that Cartier periodically stops productions on some models and then re-introduces them with updates a few years later.

19mm lug width on a case that seems a bit disproportionate.
