No Box, No Papers

Anyone have experience buying no box no papers Omegas off of Chrono24? Im looking at aquaterras and ive fallen in love with a few but im so apprehensive on buying my first luxury watch with no papers especially. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Papers are easier to fake than a watch & boxes can be bought off eBay.

I bought my quartz Aqua Terra from eBay without box or papers and saved a fortune. I paid £1300 3 years ago. I bought it as a keeper,so resale value doesn't bother me at all (&;it was so cheap I doubt I'd loose anyway)

So if you're buying with the intention of keeping then I wouldn't worry about box and papers.

Buy the seller as they say 👍

Good luck, look forward to seeing your wrist shots 👍👍

I have had no problems with Chrono24. Unless you are looking to flip the watch the papers aren't any big deal. Enjoy the hobby

I don’t see why a seller wouldn’t have a box and papers for a relatively new or recent watch.

If it was 5-10years+ then it’s more understandable. Personally I like to have the full set. I know it means little but I still do.

I'd probably not do so from a private seller but would be comfortable doing so from a long established retailer that offers a guarantee themselves. On receipt of the watch I'd get it checked out immediately if you have any concerns.

Maybe see if the same seller and/or watch is on eBay and take advantage of the authenticating service. Never used it myself so please take with a grain of salt.

Yeah some of the watches ive been looking at are from the early 2000’s so i could see why they dont have papers at the very least

No experience buying omegas but other things on Chrono.

For dealers with good reviews, I wouldn't worry about it too much, as long as you are paying appropriate prices for what you're getting. Chrono24 has a decent dispute resolution system and a good dealer tends to shield you from authentication mishaps, etc.

For private sellers, I wouldn't compromise on box and papers. Your avenues to address a bad buy are very limited there.

Having the box & papers is a huge consideration for me. It tells me whomever owned it prior took it seriously. Took better care of it. Etc... It's mainly a gut thing for me.
