Replaced Velcro on FXD strap
New here and first post! 🙋🏻♂️ Seen a lot of complaints about the stock Velcro strap no longer staying put on these FXDs and unfortunately that was the case with mine as well. The loop that they used doesn’t grip very well to the hook side... FXD owners were sadly setting these straps aside never to be worn again but I didn’t want to be another victim.
Replacing the ‘loop’ strip was as easy as removing the old one with a seam ripper, cutting a new strip to size, and sewing it on with a sewing machine. I used black thread but dark blue or whatever color you like will work. It is substantially more secure and grippier than I remember walking out my AD with it on. I’m not sure if Tudor addressed this issue with the new FXDs (mine is a ‘22 model) but you can do this if your AD won’t replace your strap.

I’ve seen these! I also have a bunch of cheap natos to throw my FXD on but some days I like to wear the stock strap.

Thank you! Yeah I suppose it will get dirty but it’s pretty easy to take off and wash by hand. 🤙🏼
Mine is a 22 also. I’ve never worn the strap because I don’t trust it. But yes, the new ones have a much better velcro

I just got one of his straps in. The look and feel is very similar to the OEM, but the velcro layout is a bit different.
I've run into the issue that the velcro extends too far for me, and it ends up being part of the strap that has to bend over the metal piece. I didn't expect it as my wrist is about 7 1/4. I owe pictures and a few comparison thoughts... incoming.
