Is it time for enthusiasts to start looking at rolex again?

It looks like Rolex prices are coming down to normal levels again, it may be time for enthusiasts to start looking at maybe picking one?

When I can get one I want at MSRP is when it will be time for me. Just because prices are coming down doesn't mean that that Rolex's are available or selling under retail used.

I think you should pop in to your AD. I kept hearing and seeing videos etc that specific models and variations of models were near impossible to come by. Until I visited and was offered a Wimbledon dial DJ, a Sub, a GMT sprite and a green dial DJ within the space of 2 months.

Helps to have a good AD who knows you’re not a flipper.

The Bucherer deal may result in Rolex balancing supply better and less unscrupulous AD activity and eventually RRP's having some meaning.

Rolex had to change they approach to sales, dodgy AD's have been destroying the brand name.

Prices indeed have dropped.

Now they are 150% (less popular) to 250% MSRP (more popular). So you can now get a new Datona for $25k - $30K as opposed to $35k-$45k.

Well, that is better! 😂

That's a nice Sprite and it's on the right wrist. Outstanding. I want one. I don't really have any history with an AD and I've never really tired to get one. I figured A Rolex would show up when it's supposed to. I'm heading back to the AD I got the Explorer ll from in February. I was on vacation. I'll probably drop in to see that he has. Right now I have enough watches I want that Rolex is kinda on stand by. I'll jump if it there. I'd really like to sink myself into a VC. But it cost more than I said that I'd pay for a watch. I have a cap I won't pay over. I need to figure that out. 😂

A few months ago I did mention to a good friend that I was once again interested in a few Rolex watches, just threw out a statement about Explorer or perhaps a Root beer. Guy does not sell watches owns a well publicized menswear shop here in Toronto is well connected to Rolex sellers. Suddenly I am receiving polite texts and emails from sales agents that must know my friend. Trouble is I am a little over watches at present but will pick up a Rolex even though there is not one that I actually want. Might be time to convince the Mrs that she needs a new gent’s watch.

I never stopped looking. I'm happy with what I have and if I see something I like, I may give it a go.

I'm considering the Starbuck. Just hoping to grab one under the $14K. I honestly will be okay paying $4K above retail for that watch. I remember at the peak it was over $20k.
