I tried on a nice watch and now I'm kicking myself

Today I tried on a Tudor Pelagos 39, just because I was in a Tudor boutique picking up my 58 from repair. Why not kill some time, check out some cool pieces? I tried on a Ranger that did nothing for me and also some Breitling Top Times, which were lovely but not for me, in a store next door. Anyway, back to the Pelagos.

It was insane, I felt an actual shiver up my spine. Then I was grinning. Grinning involuntarily. Everything about the watch made sense and it looked amazing on my wrist. The way the metal felt in my hand, the colour, shapes, textures, and profile. It was all there.

I thought after my 58, that was it. The exit watch. No more needed. A dressy diver that goes with anything for any occasion.

Now I'm back in the game. FFS

I had the same experience. I’m kicking myself for owning the 58 now that the 39 exists but swapping is a hard pill to take.

Own both bb58 blue and P39. I think they can coexist well in my collection
