Baume Mercier Thoughts?

Next watch purchase isn't going to be for another year or so. So I like to prepare, anyone have any Baume Mercier in their collection? I'm between this model Baume and Mercier and an Rolex Explorer 214270.

Not for me but I can still dig it.

I have had my eye on B&M recently. Nice looking with in-house Baumatic movement. Generally ignored by collectors, they are probably available with substantial discounts.

I was looking at this watch also but the blue version. I got turned off by the curve spring bars because it appears as if I would be locked into purchasing replacement strap from BM only. I had this experience with a Citizen at one time and I did not like it.

Good point, I did not know that. Did you see it in person? I don't have anywhere here to see it in person.

Yes, I have seen it in person.

I’ve sold them as an AD and I owned one. I wouldn’t pay full retail and you usually don’t have to at an AD. Solid piece, solid brand, easy to maintain.

They are good watches, good quality. They do lose a lot of value. It is best to buy one second hand
