A friend of mine was wearing this piece today, said it was a gift from his late uncle. Does anyone know this model? I couldn’t find anything about it online.
The crown looks too crisp for a 100 year old watch. Probably a replacement part. The general design looks correct for ~1930 Rolex, however.
He would really have to take the back off to know though. It would likely give a serial number and what movement it has, which could be used to figure out more.

Without seeing the movement… very hard to say.
Doesn’t look like a Rolex font… but you never know.

I would suggest start looking at models prior to Rolex putting their trademark Crown on the dial which was in the 1920’s
