Fears or Farer

Just like with Farer, I recently found Fears and love their Brunswick design. However they are a couple thousand more expensive than Farer. Fears brunswick white dials - $3210 including VAT. Fears Brunswick champagne & salmon dials- $3,600 Inc. Vat Farer cushion case are about $1K USD Fears is powered by the winding ETA 7001 movement. Farer is powered by the modified non-date SELLITA SW216-1 So the question is, is Fears worth it? And if so which Fears would you take? Or would you still choose Farer?

Two different brands imo. I love the idea of Farer but have never been able to pull the trigger on one (missed the lander midnight edition) and nothing else has quite spoken to me.  Fears is a true independent and I think they are fabulous! going to keep my eye on them.

True they are very different but I do see the similarities in terms of 38 to 38.5 mm cushion case dress pieces....that both start with the letter "F"😉 ...are both are British.

Own multiple Farers, which are great. Fears are also really well made. Handled them at watch fairs And like what they have to offer. They seem more robust in terms build quality, but ultimately I chose the Farer Classic Chrono over the Brunswick. That said, the Brunswick 40 is really cool. May pull the trigger. feels great and the bracelet seems well made.

What farers besides the classic chronograph do you have?

I also have the Bernina, another chronograph. Largely because the unique white and red color way. Again, great watches for the money. I do like what Fears is doing too, just need to pull the trigger on one eventually.

Fears also has historical relevance and I agree, it shouldn't really be compared to Farer.

I have both a Fears and a Farer. I like them for different reasons, but the Fears is by far the superior watch - in terms of build quality and customer service. When you buy a Fears you are entering a rarified world indeed. I recommend it.
