Are these sorts of websites legit? How would one know? Any winners on here?

I go with the “if it’s too good to be true, it most likely isn’t” mantra. They pray on our greed.

Suckers are made every minute 🤷‍♂️

Looks dodgy to me. Better off saving your money. There's no short cuts unfortunately.

As far as I see this is an unregulated ‘lottery’. Why trust anything like this? No way to know if the “winner” is real, or perhaps just an insider. Um, no.

999 tickets * £20 = £19,980

That's one expensive Omega, even if it isn't an outright fraud.

This is only the tip of the iceberg!! These raffle competitions came out of nowhere sort of recently, in theory they're legit: the companies are properly registered, most will do a livestream of them randomly picking a winner, there's plenty of reviews, and pictures of the winners with their prize. But still, it makes me ask two main questions:

Are the winners actually real?

Where the fuck do they get all these watches??

Here's some competiton sites that raffle Watches (and some of what they have right now):

  • Click Competitions (Sub, Batman)

  • 7 days performance (Day Date)

  • Elite competitions (GMT M2, DJ)

  • Dream Car Giveaways (Daytona)

  • Aspire Competitions (GMT M2, SD)

  • Pristine Competitions (none at the moment)

  • Rev Comps (Sprite, Starbucks)

  • The Giveaway Guys (none at the moment)

  • Watches of Wales (GMT M2)

  • McKinney Competitions (none at the moment)

  • Bonkers Competitions (Hublot something or other)

  • Urban Draw (GMT M2)

  • Silverstone Dream Cars (Black Bay)

  • Xclusive Competitions (Multiple Subs, Pepsi)
