Unless you already own one or the other, I don't think my photo will help you decide ๐
Here's my advice, stop pretending like you don't want both & just get both ๐
The Seiko has a sunburst green dial that is gorgeous in the light. The green looks almost dark grey out of direct light. The bracelet is new for this release but it's still a Seiko bracelet. If you hate Seiko bracelets, you won't be impressed by this new bracelet - if you don't mind Seiko bracelets, then you'll enjoy the small improvements!
Both watches have a 42mm case, but the Seiko definitely looks & wears smaller on the wrist, and it has a smaller dial & crystal than the SMP.
The SMP needs no introduction. Stop waiting for one to show up at your OB, you can get one grey on discount.

Itโs funny you put them side by side like that cause the crown at 4 on the Seiko and the helium escape valve at 10 on the SMP look like theyโre mirror images, just flipped.
Telling people to get both will always be a crowd pleaser!
Saw the green SMP in an AD last week - it really is quite a spectacular colour, subtle in some light and vibrant in others. Very, very nice watch ๐ As for the Seiko- well, it's a Seiko so it's gonna be good ๐
I bet the MM200 GMT will fit better on my wrist than the SMP300.
