No. If I was offered the Seamaster and had the Speedmaster than that would be because I want the Speedmaster. If I wanted the Seamaster instead I would have bought that to begin with. The price difference isn't significant enough to compromise in my opinion. If you spend thousands you might as well spend it on the thing you actually want.

I guess it depends on which you like more and what feature is more important, water resistance or chronograph
