Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
Long-running interest in mechanical watches that was put off for years by Apple Watch dependence. I’m still working my way to mechanicals from quartz though!
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Probably a Casio or Swatch, more likely the other. I loved those Swatch guards as a kid, and still have a fondness for them.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
What looks good != what looks good on YOU
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Casio and G-Shock as always, Tissot because it has a store presence where I live, Hamilton, Citizen and Seiko for my first mech one of these days…
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
Omega Seamaster 007 Edition 210.92.42.20.01.001 I don't own a dive watch and don't particularly like most of them. I don't even like Bond movies much. But this orange-on-black model haunts me in my dreams.
