The latest Watch Build / Case similar to SPB2xx

It's been a while since I've entertained a new build, reason being that I was focused on refreshing my collection but keeping the number of watches constant. So, I got tired of an Explorer-style case, and was looking for something different.

AliExpress had something that looked like a Seiko SPB2XX-style case. It wasn't cheap by Ali-standards, including the bracelet, at a price point slightly over $100.

I still had a few dials from Dagaz laying around, and I completely forget where the hand set was originally from. In either case (no pun intended), the case felt far more substantial than most of what I have received from AliExpress. The bracelet could be easily adjusted, but the installation was a bit of a pain, due to the design of the springbars.

Placing the movement in the case was also a bit of a surprise, since this watch has actually a screw-down crown, with the crown tube extending into the case. This required me to tilt the movement into the case, placing a cut-out of the NH35's grey spacer ring over the crown tube.

The case was also slightly dirtier than I would have liked, and I did perform the installation twice, as I had missed something that looked like a water spot and a dust speck on the inside of the crystal.

The case itself did not have any markings nor branding, but I'm quite sure that this type is used to make SPB2xx clones somewhere. I'd be highly cautious if buying that type of watch on the secondary market. The finishing, especially on the side of the watch and on the center links of the bracelet, is better than the entry-level case on AliExpress.

On a sad note, I also realized that Dagaz is not offering any dials, but only watches at this time, so I'm happy I got this dial when I did.
