It's been 2 years since this Seiko 5 SNXS79 joined my collection. It's been a joy. These are old shots, but on wrist all day celebrating the "birthday" of this legendary piece. ๐ป๐๐

Love that watch. You're celebrating the 2yr birthday and on this went waiting for the "birth" of the parcel arriving, looking forward.
Question for a 2yr owner, read online that the bracelet was subpar on these ones and a replacement is recommended - do you agree? Will make my own opinion but just managing expectations

Love this watch too. ๐ป
True, some have issues with the bracelet, but personally, I don't. First, folded links are what they are, but isn't a deal breaker for me. Once sized, it always fits so comfortably on wrist, as seen in the photo. Secondly, some don't like its jangly sound. Imho, they're just being slightly petty, as there are stock bracelets of many other more expensive watches that are jangly too. So, it's more of confirmation bias skewing their thinking. What some see as a weakness, I see simply as part of its uniqueness. Third, I believe the bracelet design is in keeping with its predecessors from the 70s to the 90s.
Of course, personal preferences will always rule, so I respect their opinions. Overall, the stock bracelet hasn't stopped or lessened my enjoyment of wearing this stunning and iconic watch. ;)
FYI, I got a number of alternative bracelets and straps simply because I enjoy changing up its look each time I wear it. Check out my post about it:
