My Columbia CL-1312 Field is back! Given to me about 17 years ago, for my birthday. Repairing it didn't take much. The lollipop second hand was put back in place, and a brand new VJ-32 Japan quartz movement was installed. Finally, I got it 2 new NATO straps in Army Olive Green and Khaki. A new chapter has begun.

I was pessimistic too. Great to see it back in action.
@artman @Aurelian @rkovars Gentlemen, thanks for your wise advice. I considered all of them, especially knowing that this watch is a teenager already in age. But, I had to get an accurate picture of the state of the piece from the watch repair guy, before making a final decision. When the solution was simple, and the cost incredibly low ($24), it was a no-brainer. I'm really glad it's back in action. 😉
Great outcome! Always great to get a long time piece back in rotation!
